Another Card!! Maybe I'm back? LOL

I did it! Took me friggin DAYS to finish it...but I have another card for you! Hopefully I can keep some sort of roll going and have another for you before too long passes. :) Oh I had so much fun colouring this sweet boy from Tickled Pink!! I had so much fun that I'm going to use him in my next Copic Class!! Sure hope you can make it!
So I had started the card using Sweet Sketch Wednesday's sketch...however it took me so darn long to make the thing that I missed out entering over there... LOL Anyhow... here is my card.

I've used some FAB papers from Authentique's Wonder pad, and the sentiment is from my Gingerbread Man set, and then of course that awesome Tickled Pink Frankie...all of which are available in the Graphicat Stamps store!!!

I did find a couple of challenges I can enter this into.....

Tickled Pink is having an Anything Goes challenge.... woot woot!!

Found a little Mojo!

OK! Whew! I was so happy to actually find alittle time to actually work on a card...and well... even enjoyed it for a change... I've just been so busy I can't seem to find much time for the pink room lately and well... when I have made myself go in there, I struggle to find any desire to make much. But I was determined to get a card done for my DT over at The Sketchy Girls (formally know as Pink Ink)... and I was worried as, while Kirsty's sketch is awesome... it's round!!! Yikes! and for a girl with an AWL Mojo THAT is a challenge! But once I wrapped my head around a plan (to make a circle a square again....LOL) I actually really enjoyed myself. Going to try it again tomorrow and see what happens. :) Anyhow... Thanks for stickin around waitin for me to post another card.... here she is!

It's not the greatest photo... but what I did was use this cute Snowman from Whipper Snapper, and put him on a large chipboard snowflake that I painted with white crackle (ok i dont know what is up with me and TH Paints and glues...but every one I buy is DRIED UP!!! ARGH!) so the white paint was almost a think pasty cement I smeared all over it... then distressed and added some of those Stampendous Mica bits...so pretty... but are now everywhere!!! And for the ROUND part... I've used white and brown tuille... honest...it's there... look close! :) Anyhow... here is the actual sketch!

Happy Birthday to my FAV Twins!

That's right! It's Eulanda and Simone's birthday!!! They're....*gulp* 40th! (and I figure it's ok to say that as they've already said it themselves all over the net! LOL)They are not only FABULOUS crafters (I'm proud to say they're both part of my own Crafty Catz) but amazing friends IRL of mine. For their birthday I asked some other crafty friends to send me their cards abit early, so I could gather a bunch and then send them a parcel full of goodness to open on their big day! As adults we all know what it's like to have our birthday's fall in the middle of the week! Well...it's like NOTHING! LOL We celebrate (if we celebrate) the preceding or following weekend. And I didn't want their actual special day to go un-eventful! So... they recieved a package of surprises from me today! And I couldn't have a package without some cards from MOI too! So... here are my cards for the girls (they got em now, so I can show you!)

Up first, is Simone's, I've used the new FAB sketch at Pink Ink ... and used my favorite Maggie...

And over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges they want a *Secret* on your card, or to hide something, So I've hidden the birthday wish with this little tag, and will be entering this over there.

Sure hope you liked it Simone!!!

Now Eulanda's card gave me quite a challenge! I dont know WHAT was killing my mojo but OMG! I think I coloured, recoloured, threw out, started over and gave up 100 times!!! I was way overthinking it cause...well... it was a card for EULANDA!!! LOL *sigh* And I know I hate it when the girls say that to me, cause I always say I love them ALL but.... still..... I get it now.

ANYHOW! Believe it or not, I started with the same sketch as the above card, and well same idea, to enter the Magnolia Down under with this one as well..... but.... Here it is.

LOL... I am happy with the end result...but honest Eulanda it was NOT going to be pink... it just took a turn in that direction and I couldn't go back! LOL

Simply Betty 12 Days of Halloween DAY 1

I have one card to do 2 jobs today! First, I was so happy to be asked to join in Betty and her gang on her annual 12 days' of Halloween challenges as a Guest. I had such fun last year on the team during these Days of Halloween, I of course said SURE when they asked if I wanted to GDT on a day.

And 2nd.... there's another new Pink Ink sketch this week from our fabulously talented Ann! It was a great one and while Im sad Im late to post I had fun making up this Halloween card with it.

So here's my card.....

So the Challenge at Simply Betty's Day1 of the 12 Days of Halloween is...

An Owl in and Old Oak Tree.

Now I dont know if this old TH tree is an Oak tree or not, but it's the best I could do.

now do you notice anything MISSING on my card.... it was hard for me to make this...

without a SENTIMENT! OMG! I still think I need to go add it.... LOL

Happy Birthday to my Hubby!

Yup! My BIG boy (also known as my hubby) turned 40 this week. And the poor fella was having a tough time with this one! So I went alittle... um...over the top with his card. I dont even know if I can call it a card anymore... LOL Anyhow. Here it is.... let me know what you think. I've made up a buncha new 40 themed sentiments in his honour, I've used one and I'll show you the rest .... tomorrow?? :)

Here's the outside of the *card* I've used one of the FABULOUS newer Steampunks from Kenny K.... thought my sweetie would appreciate these sexy things.... I even made alittle sentiment for the front I thought was appropriate *I Can Get You On the Naughty List*

Now....here's the Card upright in it's Easle Card.

The photo just doesn't seem to do it justice, but it's really pretty. I LOVE these papers from Authentique (did you know they're available from Graphicatstamps.com ) The blues are SO PRETTY and BRIGHT!

Welcome to the Xander Zone!! You are in for quite a trip through todays Blog Hop and Auction. Our dear friend Betty Roberts, owner of Simply Betty Stamps has just found out this week that her 17 year old son Christian has Stage 1 Throat Cancer. He will be having surgery next week and many months of Therapy to follow. (To read more from Betty on what’s going on please go HERE)

Creative Accents Challenges

There's a new Challenge over at Creative Accents! Orange for October! How Easy Peasy is that?? I took the whole Easy Peasy to heart and made up a quick little book mark using my new tea set from Graphicat Designs (heheeeee... so fun to stamp my own stamps).

I have seen these little things all over blogland and have wanted to make one myself. I finnaly did and I'm so glad as it was nice to make just a little something. And now I want to make a bunch more for some gifties.

Which brings me to my little waffle of the day. It just seems there's sadness in the world today.... My Dear Friend Betty at Simply Betty STamps is struggling with some horrible news and a big fight ahead. I follow Katie Renz and, well she doesn't sound too good either. Mo Manning is struggling with the Digi Stamp Theives and Image Sharing... and well it just seems the internet is not full of smiles this morning. So Im kinda feeling down, hopefully a day outside with my boys will cheer me up.

And I finnally got time to join my insanely talented teammates this fortnight! I havn't had alot of time to play with my stuff lately and actually create anything, so I was SO happy to finnaly have a weekend to craft my heart out with my Crafty Catz. I made this card, using my own clear rubber stamps (FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! Can I tel you how cool that felt?!?!?) I used an image by Simply Betty Stamps, also available at graphicatstamps.com AND paired it with the Graphicat Designs Awesome Kids set

Perfect boy card I think! My own son LOVES science and anything messy so this was a great image to remind me of him. I've used Pink Paislee Phantom papers and then glittered up the Goo punk with some Stickels I was quite happy with all of this!

I know you've got some.... some of us have more than others... LOL.... that stuff we buy with GOOD INTENTIONS... projects in mind... or just cause we fell in love... and now it's sitting unloved and waiting for a creative project to come its way. For my project, I had this cute Whipper Snapper in my stash I'd never gotten to using (how could I?!?!? I dont know.....) AND these FAB Hot Chocolate papers that I bought too late in the season to make anything with..... so... here's what I've done.

Now....Im feelin so bad about not colouring this poor fella before that Im sure I'll be using him again before this xmas.... cause he was so fun to colour and he looks SO CUTE!

Photo Challenge Day 5 ~ Someone You Love

OK... I dont know if I'll MAKE it today to enter the linkz... but I DID take some pics today (alot more than I show here mind you LOL) Today's challenge on the 30 Day Photo Challenge over at oh So Lovely the challenge is "Someone You Love" and while I had full intentions of takin a pic of JAY.. he said absolutly NOT and told me to go take a pic of "your cat" was what he said (he's a tad grumpy...it's friday...he's worked a LONG day and met at the door with a woman with a cheezy grin and her camera.... really, who could blame him?!??! LOL) I do have plans tho for a great pic of him I wanna take. But it'll have to wait for a better husband mood day... :)
So.... I took a pic of .... MY CAT! LOL

And while I DO love my CAT as much as any human, I do feel like I should have taken a pic of a PERSON. *sigh* but with hubby's *absolutly not* stance and my sweet boy at grandma's till Sunday... I had to settle for taking this picture of my son below. It's an oldie of him, but it's one of my favorites.

OK.... that's it for today. :) It's funny how, I haven't taken alot of photo's lately...but now.... I find myself walking around the house with it....trying to find MORE things to photograph! It's a good thing.

Sooooo.... I love my camera... and I LOVE to take pictures. It's something I wish I knew more about and Im trying to "self teach" myself more on..... but I seem to go thru phases where I forget about my costly camera for anything other than taking pictures of my cards.... bad bad bad Graphicat! LOL Anyhow....over at Oh So Lovely she has a 30 Day photo contest going and well Im jumpin on board! now in TRUE Cheri fashion, Im 4 days late to the party...and Ive even missed today's posting deadline! Well...again today... I am just so excited and honoured to be the first ever featured crafter at Canadian Nickel Scrap'n's new What's New Wednesday!! I've been on Simply Betty's Design Team with Nicole for almost a year now, and consider her a dear friend....not to mention an amazingly talented crafter and blogger extraordinaire herself!!! (someone should do a feature on her I tell ya! :o) ) But instead she's chosen ME!!!! As her first! YAY for me! (Life is good for me I tell ya....life is good!) Now..... This may be a longish post but....bear with me... Im given some... SCHTUFF away too so stay tuned to the bottom of the post! hehe!

Im not gonna make ya read thru my WHOLE bio again that Nicole has on her blog, but if you happened upon here and want to check it out....pop over to her fabulous BLOG and see.

I wanted to showcase my sentiments in the way I started making them up. I started making them to add humour to my projects, I'd take an awesome image from some company (such as these fantastic funny ones from Just Inklined) and add some funny, sarcastic wit to the project. And the comments were always *Where did you get that sentiment?!?!?* So I started the DIGI STORE selling my sentiments and images. Now Im embarking on a whole other adventure..... but first up, here's my wall canvas.

Things in my life are just whirling by....and Im VERY excited. I wanted to share abit of upcoming news for you all here. First of all..... my new website is underway and Im just so freakishly pumped about the whole endeavor. The site is going to be a VERY interactive community minded site with discussion boards and just FUN. We'll have a Card ER where you can post your projects and ask me and the crafty catz and any other community members for advice on what your card needs.... we'll have tutorials (stay tuned for a very intriguing Copic Video tutorial section.... and OF COURSE you can buy all sorts of fun and unique paper crafting STAMPS and supplies! For those of you living in the Cariboo area and want to keep up to date on the upcoming crops and scrapbooking events I'll have a Community pages.... oh so much! Must leave a few secrets tho huh??? Release Day at Tickled Pink!!!

Whooooo Hooooo!!!! They're out! They're out!!! They're finnally out! heheeee! The gorgeous new stamps by Tickled Pink are released today, did you enjoy the previews from The Pink Ladies (some mega talent there huh?) As I said earlier in the week, I was just TICKLED when Kellie asked me to design some sentiments for her... I sure hope you've like them as well. Oh oh oh....as usual Im just so excited...I forgot this is a HOP! LOL and I should mention that.... you should have hopped here from....well the Beginning (which is Tickled Pink) Cause Im First on the list.... which is prolly a good place to be considering how awesome these ladies are!

Im BAAACK! Did ya miss me?! LOL told you to stay tuned. :) I have another sneaky peek at some awesome new images from Tickled Pink Stamps! heheeeeee yup I do! I was just...well Tickled Pink when Kellie asked me to design her some sentiments for her new line, and even more so when she asked if I wanted to help preview them! YAAAAA!!! This Lil Kellita is I THINK my fav.... they're all my fav... ya know?? Whatever stamp Im using at that moment...is my fav! LOL Anyhow....here she is!

Now that's one of my sentiments... LOL.... have we not all at one time said something like that?? :) I cant wait to see what The Pink Ladies do with this one!

Gorgeous Stamp of the Month at Creative Accents

OK! Im so behind the 8 ball over here in my own little la la land! LOL SO much to do and SO much going on...all of it fun and exciting... but alot of work too. And it's seriously effecting my crafty time! LOL Anyhow! The new stamp of the month over at Creative Accents is the FAB Girlfriends image from Art Impressions stamps I LOVE these ladies!!! So I was super excited and volunteered of course to help Tara with the samples for the month (of course that was before I knew my life would explode as it has) Anyhow, I have only finished the one example and Im working on some more... just stay tuned. :) anyhow...here's what I did with them.

Now let me tell you...this stamp takes some COMMITMENT to colour! LOL Whew! She's a whopping 5.5" wide!!! but...well worth it in the end. And really...Friends who laugh.... DO last!

A New Sketch for July

OK my pretties....as you know if you've been here recently...I am SICK! ugh. And being sick all week my posts have been missing or late or short or....many of the above. Last night Blogger just plum locked me OUT! I dont know what his problem was but he was being an A**!!! So...anyhow, I had little sick mini fit and just went to bed. And so tonight....Im gonna just post a coupla cards that shoulda gone up earlier and well...there's still one missing. Today, at Simply Betty we are RELEASING!!! The adorable Jude and the Rockers line...woot woot! Now today I SHOULD be showing you Oscar....however, I was too ill to get his card finished...but I will show ya the sentiment I made up with just him in mind...heheheeeeee

Yup! It's another great day today.....my dear friend Chris's Birthday. Now....the bugger up and moved to Fort Nelson on me....so Im still alittle perturbed with her over that....but Im gonna get over it long enough to say

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR FRIEND!!!

Now....boy did I agonize over this card! LOL I didnt know WHAT image to use....she loves so many things. :) She is obsessive about the colour Blue first of all, and loves her tea, and cats, and teddy bears, and margarita's and sweet little blonde girls. :) So you can see my dilemma.... WHAT STAMP DO I USE??? Cause I have them all!!! I waiver-ed back and forth and forth and back again and then... finally I just decided to make the card I've been wanting to make since I won these images from Tickled Pink Stamps and well combine some of her above loves. I figure I've got the Blue covered....cats....tea.....and little blonde girls?? That's pretty good right?? LOL

Ya know...I used to struggle with the whole vintage thing...but I think I'm gettin the hang of it...specially when Im using Tickled Pink images anyhow....they just seem to NEED it. I had to cut poor Ivy's legs off cause well....there was no more room and I COULDNT cover up my favorite cat now could I??? Priorities people!! Now that's one of MY sentiments and I'll put er up in the shop for ya if you'd like it, at Graphicat Designs. I have distressed and crackled the heck out of this thing.....here's another shot.

Hey everyone. Just a quick post to show ya the card that's been sitting on my desk for a few days now. Finnally had the time to glue it together. I bought myself my first Magnolia Stamps.... uh...ya... you heard me right! LOL They've grown on me some. ;o) Anyhow.... this is the card I made...just cause.

Now....the colours look odd. I've been having a tough time taking a proper picture lately, will have to work on that. Anyhow, I bought these AWESOME Kaisercraft papers recently on a girls trip and have been waiting for the perfect card to use them on. And well....what better image than one with a CAT! :) I have used the sketch from over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges (Fantastic!!!) so I'm going to enter the card over there....I also made the card an easle card... it's been forever since I did that!

Upcoming Copic Classes At Creative Accents

Hey my Copic Loving Cariboo'rs! I have a bunch of upcoming Copic Classes at Creative Accents for both the newbie and the more seasoned colouring enthusiasts! First up, next week:

BEGINNER CLASS

On Thursday at 6:30pm, May 26th and

Friday at 1pm, May 27th

We will go over the BASICS of these fabulous alcohol based markers. I will explain the capabilities of them and talk about the number system, show you the Copic suggested way to colour for BEST results. We will discuss and practise various blending and shading techniques and I will show you how to get the most from your markers, even the smallest set, by mixing colours and adding a few greys. If you have JUST got your markers or are struggling with them this is the class for you!!!

The following week I will be doing another one of our Monthly Copic Club classes and this month we'll talk about:

Starting with your PAPERS

On Thursday at 1pm, June 2 and

Friday at 6:30pm, June 3.

This week we're going to talk about matching colours to papers for the maximum effect in your projects. We'll use a Copic Colour chart (if you've made one of your own, please be sure to bring it, otherwise we'll make one while you're here) to match your markers to your paper and colour your image from there. This will also help you mix your colours better from different colour families.

My New Fav Card!!

OK..... I think.... that I may have made my personal BEST today! Woot Woot! I dont know... something about this card just makes me go.... I DID IT!!!! heheeeee.... A little bit ago, I was lucky enough to win the whole kit and caboodle of the new Tickled Pink Victorian's release! um....yup... I did! And I just could NOT WAIT to use Lilith... she is just.... OMG so full of something! LOL anyhow..... I had so many ideas for her and well....I think I used em all! LOL Whaddaya think??

Heheheeeee.... here's a few more shots..... cause well... I took a few....

Ok.....where do I start..... I guess I started obviously with the FAB Lilith here.... then I made those Gears/Cogs.... I followed some tips from Tim (you know Tim... that guy who can save a dying polar bear while teaching ink techniques to the Eskimoes while embossing some chipboard?? LOL..... ) and made them out of chipboard/distress inks and embossing powder!! I used papers from BoBunny Timepeice collection.... and that sentiment.....heheee.... do you like it?? It's one I made... and it's up in the STORE if you'd like to use it yourself! Anyhow.... I was happy with the outcome of my card. :) Im entering it into a coupla challenges..... First up.

Deconstructing Jen's Deconstructed Sketch ~ It's there under all that STUFF it's there...oh and upside down!

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges ~ Distress! And well.. I have done my fair share of that on here.

There's No Place Like Grandma's

So...as usual I was so late for mother's day for my OWN mom that I just made her an I miss you card. My mom LOVES animals.....mostly my own dogs.... :) And I had gotten this SA-WEET House Mouse image from Creative Accents recently just so I could make my mommy a card and well... this big sweet puppy reminds me of my big mutt.... And the three little mice I figure are her 3 grandchildren. how perfect huh?

Now....over at House Mouse & Friends their challenge this month is May flowers, and I've got lots a flowers on here both in the paper and those sweet Reflection roses.... And....I did use the sketch from over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp....I flipped it....and moved the elements around some....so I hope it still is accepted. :) Now....I just have to show you this pic of my own sweet puppy cause well.... I love him.

How could you NOT love him?? He misses his grandma too.....

You're here!!! It's a Friday the 13th MIRACLE!!! LMAO What with all the Blogger issues of the past day or soo! Geesh!! Im so excited to show you my Chaos and Christian card! I loved these kids...all of them.... I unfortunatly have NOT been feeling well at all the past few weeks and just couldn't find the energy to do anything! I made this cutie last week at a crop with all my girls! Perhaps that's what's wearing me out?? All the great crop weekends I've been on recently?? LOL

Anyhow....I waffle as usual. hopefully you've arrived here from my dear friend Carla's blog. If not, hope on over to the beginning so you dont miss any greatness or chance to win!!! Yup WIN!! So hope over to the start to get all the DEETS.

Now, this was so much fun to make. I used as much TIM products as I could....the cog dies and the sentiment stamp are from him. Those cogs I cut from chipboard, then coated it in Black Enamel, and sprinkled this new Glass Glitter I found from Melissa Francis... SOOO COOL!!!!! Anyhow...that's purdy much the exciting parts of the card... well that and that AWESOME BOY IMAGE!!!!

Why you ask? Have I made another creepy Zombie blood splattered card that you'll need to look at cautiously?? NO! LOL What have you NEVER seen on my blog before?? What do I never use?? WEll...I'll give ya a hint... I channelled my inner Eulanda in order to make my other mother in law's card (the non attitude ridden sweet one) and made THIS

LOL... I did it! I made a Magnolia card!!!! I must admit while Im not always fond of them, this little girl was very sweet and seemed perfect for what I wanted to do...and what I wanted was a dreamy girly pink and sweet card. :) i used the sketch from over at Magnolia-licious Highlights Challenge blog and papers from Kaisercraft. I used tuile which is my new fav embellishment!! And a bunch of random flowers and trinkets.

Happy Mothers Day everyone! Im currently being spoiled by my wonderful boys....I have a FULL pancake stuffed tummy and a coffee and so thought I'd post my LATE card. I was also at another FUN weekend crop with my girls yesterday and got home SO late and so no post.... But good things come to those who wait right? And THIS is my new FAVORITE Simply Betty Image! New Graphicat Designs images and Sketch

Well hello my Stampy friends! Im SO excited to show you some new stuff today! I've released some new images and senti's over at Graphicat Designs This week.... mostly Alcohol related... LOL I've had some pretty good feedback on them from those have have seen them, so I sure hope you all like them too. Now...over at Graphicat Designs, we also always have a monthly sketch challenge. And you can use ANY image you like on that...it does NOT have to be a Graphicat Designs image (altho we sure love when you do use one!). Now... I'll show you the sketch first up.

I love designing sketches and then seeing what everyone does different with them.

Now, my interpretation of the sketch is below. Ive used some fun "Fiesta" inspired paper from WeR Memory Keepers...since my card is all about the TEQUILA!!! AReba!!!!

Summer Zombie RELEASE AND HOP!!!

YAY!!! It's here! Finnally we can release the whole Zombie line to you!!! Today we'll show you the LAST of the Zombie's and we're celebrating with a hop! Ya know... I, as many of us do up alot of Design Team cards... and while I love each and every one of them... it just seems when I do a card for a special friend or family member... THOSE are the cards that turn out better than any other... I guess it's the extra love you put in them?? I dont know... I dont cook...but it's kinda like that sappy cheesy old saying your grandmother always used to say about why her Cookies always tasted so good... Cause they're made with Love. Is that it?? Whatever it is... Good mojo or love... I love it when a PLAN comes together! LOL

Recently a very special friend of mine moved... away... FAR AWAY. :( People just shouldn't be allowed (now I start to say that and realize that almost 10 years ago I did the same to my closest friends when I moved here to Williams Lake... *Sigh* Im sorry for that) I miss her allready and she's only been gone a few days. So I've been thinking of her alot and wanted to make her a special card to mail to her new home in FORT FREAKIN NELSON!!! OMG! Could you find a FARTHER away place woman?!?! Anyhow... before I start ranting. Here is my card for you.

Aren't these little House Mouse critters adorable?? I love them soo.... I LOVE House Mouse in general actually! LOL Now, this stamp actually has a Hot Chocolate tin behind the mice, but Chris is a Tea freak.. AND a fan of the colour Blue so I had to alter it abit and make a TEA card. :) I've also used the sketch from over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday I've flipped the sketch on it's side...it's there it really is. :) anyhow... Fellow Scrapbooker in need and Copic Club

Hello blogland. Seems I've been neglecting my blog abit this past week, I think I've lost my mojo abit. But it'll be back no worries. I need to write to you unfortunatly about a friend and fellow crafter in need. A good friend of mine's house burned down last night, and they have lost everything. And while the word "everything" is heart-wrenching enough, I as a crafter and scrapbooker instantly thought....OMG!!! Her albums!!! Her STUFF!! And while I can do nothing to replace beloved scrapbooks and lost photos... I CAN help replenish her stuff!! I as I know most of us do, have a BUNCH of unused supplies that I can donate to her to help ease her incredible loss. Now, I've talked to my ladies at Creative Accents and they're more than happy to be a drop off spot. So if any of you Cariboo Crafters out there are able to donate some items PLEASE PLEASE drop them by there so we can help a fellow crafter relace alittle of her loss. NOw.... I also wanted to remind or let you know about an upcoming Copic Club night at Creative Accents as well....This Friday, April 15th I will be teaching another fun colouring night. We're gonna focus on shading and shadows this week. So we'll colour a variety of images and I'll explain how and where and why I place shadow's where I do. Discuss how greys can fill the gaps in your colours and well....just have the best time colouring since we played with crayons! :) Sure hope to see you there!!!

Creative Accents NEW Challenge Blog and Challenge

Well hello there fellow Bloggers! As you know I've been on the Creative Accents Seriously Creative Design Team for some time now. Creative Accents is our FABULOUS little Scrap shop here in Williams Lake. And Tara (owner and paper crafter extrodinaire) likes to put on challenges for her clientele. And now!!! WE've decided to go viral with these challenges and start it's OWN blog! Woo hooo!! So... these challenges will last a month at a time (Nice eh!!) and ussually begin sometime in the first week of the month (not always on the first) SO....first of all... Hop over to:

So.... what I find so interesting about a photo inspiration challenge is the VAST different projects that come out of one picture! Now... I myself had quite a time of it... I just could not nail down an idea... I had lots but none seemed to pan out for me and well...got myself into quite the MOOD actually! LMAO SO... I sorta jumped out of my zone a bit and made this card...

I used my little Penquin stamp from Memory Box to make up this cute card... and now... why do you ask is it out of my zone?? Well... it's NOT SQUARE is the biggie for me! LOL I dont know why that is ussually a hardship for me...but it is. ANd well it's definatly not a typical "Cheri card" but that's ok...I still like it.

Love and Marriage

Well kids it's time for another FUN challenge over at Simply Betty!! This week we're askin ya to use RIO...make a card that's all about Rio. Use any of our fabulous Rio images....everyday, Back to School, Valentine, Christmas anything that moves ya. And as an added bonus...we'd like it if you used BLACK as your main colour and add a skully embelly... now....I may have forgotten that last bit... LOL oops...imagine a skull would ya??

I wanted to use this gorgeous Zombie version of Rio. She's SO cute...but didn't really want a Zombie card....so I cropped out the...uh.... gory bits of her and did a portrait of her...and since you can still see her books I made up this fun little sentiment (which will be available in my digi shop tomorrow hehe).

I Thought of You Today

Just thought I'd post a card I made yesterday....just for me! OK well not really ...For ME...but not a DT card. In fact, do you do this... ever find yourself overwhelmed with a card... and well your mojo is just not there... or you just can't get it to work for you?? I was trying to do an upcoming DT Challenge and I just could NOT get any inspiration for it...nothing I thought of seemed to work out and so... I put it ALL aside and pulled out an image I'd coloured abit ago and put together this card. Now I made it for one friend who recently had surgery however, ended up giving it to another who needed it sooner.... LOL Will have to make another for the first friend. I pulled out the great sketch from over at The Beary Scrap and made this....

Now...this is of course an adorable image from Penny Black, and I've paired it with some great papers from We R Memory Keepers (Fabulous little 6x6 pad I got!!). Anyhow, I was happy with it, it's cheery and happy and well different then the cards I've been making of late. April SOTM at Creative Accents ~ House Mouse

Good morning bloggers! Today is April Fools day. No fools here tho....unless you count driving WAY too many hours foolish. I'll be on my way South again this afternoon... Geesh! but it's to see my Favorite aunt so I guess it will be worth it....oh and while there I'll be checkin out the Sewing and Crafts Show... so that will for SURE be a good day!! Now, with the beginning of a new month that also means a new Stamp of the Month over at my favorite little scrapbook shop Creative Accents And I was THRILLED when Tara asked me to help out with the samples this month cause they're some of my FAVS from House Mouse!!! Woot Woot!!! Such cute stamps! So here are my samples first up is It's Easter for Peeps Sake

Tara and I both used the Basic Grey papers Hello Luscious to create our cards. And Im not gonna lie to ya...I REALLY struggled with them... I loved them, but was wishing for some "cuter" papers. However...what's life without alittle challenge huh?? LOL And I think the cards came out well!! LOL I also got that GORGEOUS crocheted ribbon at Creative Accents... LUV IT!!! My sentiment is a stamp from Whipper Snapper (also available at CA)

Next up I made a Baby card

Using the same papers again, I cut my little chickie out so it looks like he's saying to the bunny "Heard you had a little Chick" and now.... I can hear ya saying... Cheri... isn't that a hand written sentiment? And aren't you the Sentiment girl?? UM YA! However... i did have this sentiment all written up and made purdy to print off and use.... but me and that ($*#(@$()@*) Printer of mine had yet another falling out.. and this time HE WON! Bloody thing.... So....hand written it is today.

Hope you're on our SOTM club...cause you're gonna wish you were now aren't ya??

Bling It Up Lil Lolita Style

Hey everyone....just a quick post for you today. Of a card... a card I made... for ME! OK well not really for me, I made it for my niece...or started to, now Im not sure if I'm giving her this one or another.... but anyhow. What I mean is, it's not a DT card in anyway, just a card to show. I've used this Lil Lolita' image I've had for some time and been meaning to use. Thought she looked alittle like my little Ellie and her pouty look. LOL Anyhow, and since the current challenge over at Tickled Pink IS Bling It UP I thought I can enter it there for sure...not really a challenge for me as there's ALWAYS bling on my cards.... LOL

I've used some papers from Prima...I think the first pad off Prima papers I've ever had actually.... I was really pretty happy with the colouring on her... specially her skirt, came out pretty good.

Sweet Gothic Easter Preview ~ Tilly

We're almost there!! Almost to release day of these Easter cuties! ARe you getting excited? I do so love them...and I think THIS one might be my favorite. This is Tilly! And she's so sweet and versatile really...you can use her for any card really...not just an Easter one.

See what I mean?? I've made her with some pretty blue CTMH papers I had stashed away somewhere... and those flowers are made with my new fav sissix die! Man I love that thing.... Anyhow, I actually made and gave this card to a friend of mine to cheer her up. So see what I mean? doesn't need to be an Easter card. Cause really.... dont know that I've ever really made one of them till just recently... LOL

OK! So ya....MAJOR Crunchie moment for me..... (know what a "Crunchie" moment is??) I apparantly MISSED the last page of my Stamptacular Challenges.....so thought my term was up 2 weeks ago... NOT!! Argh! Im sorry once again....too much on my plate as usual. SO! Since I have a coupla weeks left, this week's challenge is "Are you Talkin To ME?" We want you to make a sentiment the main focus of your card! And what a perfect opportunity for me to showcase one of MY new digi images Tires OR? So, here is my card this week.

Now I had another Crunchie moment when I MADE this card...as I got confused by the Tire images thinking it would be a BOY card....um ya...not so.... if I gave this to a guy Im sure I'd be UNDER the darn tires.... Good Grief! So after all that... I COULDA added flowers and all the purdy stuff! Oh well... I do like how the colouring came out anyways.

Another Kenny K hockey card ~ Canucks Theme

SOOOOO.... I had such fun making my last "Bruin" themed hockey card, I wanted to make another one, for a team and fella alittle closer to home... My brother and the CANUCKS! Woot Woot! OK so Im not really a HUGE hocky fan...but my family sure is. And my bro is having a tough time so I thought I'd make up another boy card for him.

So it's not much different, layout wise from the first one I did, but it's completly different colour schemes obviously. That image of course is a Kenny K and over at his challenge blog they're challenge is to use BOWS and Ribbons....which I've done with my laces there.

I wanted to show you a close up of the logos. Ive coloured them with Spica Glitter pens and then put glossy accents on them! OMG! I love this effect! It SO makes it FABBY!

Anyhooooo....this is my card. Im also gonna enter it over at Simon Says as they have an Anything Goes challenge!! Woot woot!

So here is my first...and possibly only St Paddy's Day card! :) I had this great idea for this card... and well I just had to make it up!! hehe... I've used an image from one of the newer images from Simply Betty, Veronica from the Veronica and Gang line. And sauced her up with this funky saying. LOL

Whaddaya think?? Did I make ya laugh? I hope so... LOL I have this sentiment along with a Happy St Patrick's Day sentiment in my NEW SHOP, go check it out! There's some freebies and even a sketch challenge for ya over there!!
Now...I originally had made this up with the Friday Sketchers sketch....but missed posting it in time! YIKES! So not like me.... But anyhow... i was lookin round and found that at

Simply Betty Challenge ~ It's a Celebration!

We have another fun challenge over at Simply Betty this week!! This week we're CELEBRATING. Why are we celebrating?? Cause Betty is up to all sorts of good stuff and so...we thought we'd have a party. ;) So, this week we're challenging you to make a card with an SBS image with the theme of a celebration. I have taken one of my FAV girls from the Sweet Gothic Kids and made this rather cheeky birthday card.

OK...so I dont know why this sentiment makes me laugh...cause it's SO not true in my little world anyhow... LOL But 20 years ago....well it woulda been. ;) LOL so I'll save this card for some young friend or something.

My Shamrocks

heheheeeeeeee OK! So Tara and Julie from Creative Accents are off to see the wizard!! The wonderful wizard of.... STAMPING!!! That's right...they're gonna meet the amazing and swoon-worthy (for us lovers of ink, paper, stamps and all things pretty anyhow) TIM HOLTZ And yea...it's all I can do to keep myself from jumping them at the airport and taking their ticket.... but... I'll behave... THIS time! So instead...I've made a tag... an "oh so not worthy but I hope it makes you chuckle Tim".... tag for Tara to give to his wizard-with-an-ink-pad-ness. I pulled out pretty much my stock of TH Ranger goodies and tried to use em all on this...hope it's not too much! LOL Check it out.....

Ok....so I really hope Tim has a sence of humour...Im purdy sure he does. :) I have used some Graphic 45 papers to start the tag off with. Distressed them with Peeled Paint Distress Ink and and distressed the edges too, then I've cut out all those Shamrocks with some QK dies and the SHAMROCK word is the TH alphabet Once Upon A Time. I've used Tissue Tape and Alcohol Inks...that charm is inked and loved to death.... there's stickles and glossy accents everywhere on here! LOL And those tickets, with my name on them are attached to the back of the tag!! (just for you TAra! LOL) Here's a close up of that Bauble.

Geesh...I dont even know if there's a challenge I can enter this into.... LOL

Oh well...it was just for fun anyhow! I love to play with inks. :)

My Last Stamptacular Sunday DT card

Well, here it is. My last card for Stamptacular Sunday, as a member of their DT. :( It's been a great year! I was and am still so thrilled to have been a part of such a FUN team and challenge blog and while Im SAD to be stepping down, I know I'll be back to join in on their challenges all the time! I had to step down to make some time for me to get my butt in gear and my own business of stamping off the ground and well... here we go! So thank you so much to Pricilla and the rest of the team at STamptaculr Sunday, It's been a fabulous year with you!

Stamptacular Sunday DT ~ Shadow Box Card

OK! So I totally lost track of what freakin day it is!!! Geesh! I was thinking it was Saturday and I'd post tonight! BUT NO!!!! It's Sunday! Ugh! What a moron. So I'm sorry my post for Stamptacular Sunday is late! Our challenge this week is to:

FRAME IT!!!

We want you to some how frame your image on your projects. I took this opportunity to try that Shadow box technique and frame one of my FAV Whipper Snapper stamps.

I just love this effect, the photo doesn't really show just how dimensional it is. But it's VERY fun.

then on the inside it looks like

I've covered the back of the shadow box and used a Quickutz die to decorate. The sentiments I've used are from a Kraftin Kimmie set and then I've of course used some nesties. That gorgeous paper is LUSH.

Today is the day!! The day I finnaly get to show you these STUNNING creatures we at Simply Betty Call the Steampunk Romance! Oh...they are just devine. So pretty and versatile. Another 40th Card with a Hockey theme

Man...am I actually approaching 40?? I must be cause it seems like the "theme" for birthday cards....for FRIENDS...so... does that mean Im pushin 40 too? Crap! LOL This card is for my dear friend Eulanda's hubby, I was privilaged enough to be invited into his "man den" or scary stalker like shrine to the Boston Bruins room....I was even allowed in "the circle" during a CRUCIAL point in the game! LMAO So when it came to his birthday card I HAD to make this card.

heheheeee.....k so Im gonna have to do another one of these in Canuck colours I think for my brother. But that'll be another post. :) I found this saying and thought it would be awesome for a guy/hockey card. It says Lace Em Up, Whack the Buscuit Light the Lamp, It's a Hockey thing (you cant really see that last smaller line in the photo well) Anyhow, and I laced up some ribbon like skates on the side there. Those Bruin logos I covered in some Spica glitter and glossy accents to make them abit more welll.... sparkly (that's prolly more for me than Mike! hahaaa)

And the inside! PUCK! how did 40 happen?! Happy Birthday! LMAO

So Happy Day Mike! Hope you have lots of good ju ju this year! ;)

Happy 40th Card

YAY!! Another post! I feel so out of touch with blogland this past few weeks. Im trying to catch up on my commenting and bloggin in general slowly here....I apologize for not being around to see your gorgeous inspiration lately...Im comin!!! :) Anyhow! I was so happy to have the chance to make this card. Christy Croll from Tiddly Inks had asked for some volunteers to make a special card for her friends 40th birthday, she drew up a special image for it and well..... here is my creation for her.

So...this was a first for me, I found a tutorial for this shadow box card! Such a great look huh? Anyhow, I used this funky font to make the 40, coloured it in with some Spica glitter and added glossy accents to it to make it shine as the focal point in the card, and put it in the "box" Then of course that awesome image was from Tiddly Inks...it was perfect to accentuate the 40! Love her in her red boots!

I remembered this sentiment from a friends card she made a few years ago and thought it would be fabulous for this card.

And this is what the inside of this card looks like. I've covered up the back of the shadow box with some more DP paper. Stay tuned for those of you near me geographically as Im gonna make another of these up and teach a class at Creative Accents with it.

Now...Im gonna enter this into a few challenges...just for fun. Cause well..it's been awhile since I've been able to enter challenges.

It's Sunday! Day of lazy mornings....and a house full of tired pre-teen boys for me! Oy!!! Do I even have enough cereal in the house to feed then. Anyhow....that's my issue this morning. It's also time for 2 challenges at my 2 favorite places. Of course, over at Stamptacular Sunday our challenge is

Lovin From the Oven

Now, over at Creative Accents, my favorite little Scrapbook Store we also have a challenge for you, for the month of February we want to see what the love of Chocolate inspires you to create.

OK!! So you can imagine this was a difficult challenge for me.... LOL I used one of my neglected MFT Stamp sets and came up with this....

Ooooooooh, I had fun with this. Firstly my image is all 3D'd, hard to see at this angle, plus I used my airbrush around the edge of the nestie. My papers are all from a new set by Memory Box we just got in at CA, those tickets are a combination of TH stamps and the set from MFT. I've used some neat Memo pins from TH to stick the tickets into those awesome flowers made with my new fav Sissix die (MUST have for crafters I have to say!!!) And I think that's that!!!

Simply Betty Challenges ~ Snowtacular

Im BAAAAAACK! for real! hopefully my blog will be much more active again...Ive so missed it. We have another fun challenge for you over at Simply Betty Challenges and OI!! What a challenge it is! I dont know what side of the country or globe you live on, but we've had some HUGE snowfalls this year! And in honour of this great white north type weather our dear DT member Lelia thought it would be FUN (she's demented....really.....but we love her anyhow. ;o) ) to challenge us to use ONLY WHITE!!! WHAT!?!?! OMG!! Are you kidding??? LOL Ok....so..... I had this great idea...and I tried, I really really did...to use only white...but it needed....some chilly like blue..... so.... I caved.

Now....I wanted to make poor Miller here look like he'd been splattered and snowed in by some crazy snowplow driver.....Cause MAN! Does that happen to you?? Our driveway is LOOONG and steep and well...you work your butt off (well sort of...driving the quad around) clearing off the driveway...and then the darn plow truck goes by and blocks you back in again!!!! What is UP with that?!?! Do they wait around the corner?!?! come on!!!

Ooops...sidetracked.... Ya ok. So did you know, that if you emboss some clear packaging it's the COOLEST look....but then if you apply heat accidently, to said plastic when puffing up some snow..... the embossing dissapears?!?! Seriously! neither did I! Crap! So that clear plastic in behind there had some AWESOME snowflakes in it....you can still see a few. :(

Im Back! With a Birthday card!

Wow! What a week! I'll fill you in on my absence in a moment, but first I have to say

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

To an amazing young lady named Rio. This sweet thing, when asked what she wanted for her birthday replied with a request that her money that would have been spent on her be donated to St Jude's Children's hospital!!! OMGoodness!! Doesnt that just make your heart melt! So her mother.... Betty of Simply Betty Stamps had this special Birthday Rio Emo image made up for her to sell and donate all the proceeds to the charity as well! I've made a card for Rio using her current FAV colours Lime Green, Purple and Bright Orange! Quite the combo! But it works for such a unique girl.

So Rio, I hope you have a FABULOUS day! My card is on route to you now.

As for my absence of late. My little family has been thru the ringer the past month. My husbands dear father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in December and then passed away on January 28th. It's been a really tough time for us here, and while we're climbing up out of the sadness, it will take a long time for such a wound to heal. So I've been taking care of my family who desperatly needed me. Im starting to get some time to myself to craft and try to catch up with some DT work and well, just to craft to feel better myself.

Thanks for sticking with me thru my absence....and thru my periodic melt downs to those of you who know what Im talking about. :) Love you all.

Happy Birthday Shelley!!!!

SO!! Today is one of the greatest days of the year! Why you ask? isn't it just another Thursday? nope, it's not! It's my BBFF (Bestest Best Friend Forevah!)'s birthday!! And I've tried to make a card she'll LOVE!! I stress myself out every year with HER card (ok....or for the past few years anyhow, since I've started this silly obsession of mine), last years card had moving parts and REAL Starbucks coffee involved...and I said to myself... *How will I top this??* And I honestly dont know that I could.... but that being said, Im sure she'll like this one. Shell and I both LOVE coffee....and LOVE House Mouse Stamps, and well stamps in general.... but that's another topic. HERE is her birthday card.....

So here are some happy mice...who may have had some EXTRA coffee to celebrate the special day! I've 3D'd them and used my Copic Airbrush to colour the background in. I've even used some REAL coffee beans for embellishments! (had to get the starbucks on there somewhere! LOL) That sentiment is from a MFT set I have. On the inside I've used some sentiments from a Skipping Stones Coffee Set I have. (uh....ya I have a lot of Coffee-related stamps!!)

Now!! I'm entering this into 2 challenges, over at House Mouse and Friends they're challengeing you to emboss on your card which I did on the front of this, and over at Simon Says Challenge, the challenge is Animal Antics! LOL Which is fairly explanatory I'd say! :o)

I hope you have a fantastic day my sweet friend! I miss you and hope we can have a drink SOON to celebrate! hopefully......you will get a surprise sometime soon today. :o)

Upcoming Copic Classes At Creative Accents

Stamptacular Sunday DT ~ Three's Company

It's a happy Sunday here at my little house in the snow.... :o) My boys got a big new toy. I'll post a pic of it at the end of my post here. It is of course Sunday and that means another challenge over at Stamptacular!! This week our Challenge is:

Now at first I thought....ppphffffttt!!! how hard is that?!?!?! Easy peasy....and then.... well I started to put it together and OY!!! LOL It was alittle harder than I thought! But....in the end! it worked awesome! Here is my card for this week.

So this is another stamp from Art Impressions isn't she Fabulous?!?! LOL And that sentiment is a stamp from Whipper Snapper My papers are all BoBunny and well.....flowers from Wild Orchid....

Cool huh? That is of course my son....unloading it from the truck. My hubby got himself a nice new Polaris 850, giving the older 450 to Bradley. They are happy boys! :o)
