YAY!! Another post! I feel so out of touch with blogland this past few weeks. Im trying to catch up on my commenting and bloggin in general slowly here....I apologize for not being around to see your gorgeous inspiration lately...Im comin!!! :) Anyhow! I was so happy to have the chance to make this card. Christy Croll from Tiddly Inks had asked for some volunteers to make a special card for her friends 40th birthday, she drew up a special image for it and well..... here is my creation for her.
So...this was a first for me, I found a tutorial for this shadow box card! Such a great look huh? Anyhow, I used this funky font to make the 40, coloured it in with some Spica glitter and added glossy accents to it to make it shine as the focal point in the card, and put it in the "box" Then of course that awesome image was from Tiddly Inks...it was perfect to accentuate the 40! Love her in her red boots!
I remembered this sentiment from a friends card she made a few years ago and thought it would be fabulous for this card.
And this is what the inside of this card looks like. I've covered up the back of the shadow box with some more DP paper. Stay tuned for those of you near me geographically as Im gonna make another of these up and teach a class at Creative Accents with it.
Now...Im gonna enter this into a few challenges...just for fun. Cause well..it's been awhile since I've been able to enter challenges.
STAMP SOMETHING ~ Something FUNKY, which I've used the funky font and well.... just the new type of card is funky for me. :)
CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES ~ Dies! To use dies on your card, and I've used my nesties and shapabilities.
TIDDLY INKS ~ Monocromatic, and I've used allmost all reds with just alittle black. :)
CUTE CARD THURSDAY ~ SHINY happy Cards, and I've used those shiny sparkly bling on the card and lots of Glossy accents.
OK!! So that's it that's all folks! Hope to see you again tomorrow with yet another just cause card!!! YAY for feelin better. :)
