June Stamp of the Month at Creative Accents

The Stamp of the Month (SOTM) for June at Creative Accents this week is this FABULOUS set from Cornish Heritage Farms It's called Weighty Matters from their Saturday Evening Post line of stamps. When Tara first showed it to me I of course freaked out and told her YES YES YES I love it and want it so bad get me 2 (LOL ok, so I got one for Shelley... Im not THAT bad that I actually think I need 2 for myself...but...is it possible for them to wear out?! cause in that case...... um...sorry Shell). So this is it. Whaddaya think??

It's just so fabulous! (Im sorry if I use that word too much, it's apparantly my favorite at the moment!) Ok, so then Tara at Creative Accents (FABULOUS little LSS here in the Puddle) asked me to help her make up the some samples..... Insert anxiety attack.....OMG yay! LOL I find the set very vintage, and those of you who love this look (as I do) and have had me comment on your lovely vintage cards might remember, I TRY to acheive vintage, but it's hard for me! LOL Anyhow, here are the samples I came up with for them. The first is a card:

So I've used the Basic Grey Max and Whiskars paper pack (love it!) For the image, Id tried colouring it with copics, and then covering with glitter but it just didn't work for me. So I tried this technique I'd learned from a tutorial on the Fabulous Rach at Papercrafts by Rach where you use UTEE, a few layers of it, then throw it in the freezer and bend it to make it crakle, then rubbed some ink into the cracks for a weathered look. Turned out purdy cool I think. Anyhow... that's the card. I then made up a little tag. I figured the card would take up so much room that something small was in order! LOL

The tag is also made with the Max and Whiskars paper pack. I faux stitched around the image and distressed it alittle. Fun! Anyhow! I love love love this set!!! I hope you like it as well.
Cheers! Cheri
