Just a quick post today. I made this card up for a card swap with some of my Scraptacular Sunday sisters using the Mojo Monday sketch.
All the paper I've used here is from a Close To My Heart pack called Mi Adore, it's very pretty and vintage. The stamps I've used are all from one of my favorite coffee sets by TPC Studios. Thanks for looking today!!
I got this idea from a card on Splitcoast. It used a different stamp and different colours. But same idea. Her's I believe looked much better! But this was a half decent attempt for me. Specially since embossing and I dont always "get along" Tonight we're on speaking terms....but not commited. Anyhow. It's pretty. Papers and stamp are from CTMH. This one is just one I wanted to try out. No Copics, just stamping!!! craziness!! LOL Anyhow, I made it for a friend who had a really tough day today. HOpefully it helps tommorrow look better for her. Thanks for looking.
This is my entry for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. It was a sketch this week. I had to make a birthday card for my nephew, so combined the 2 needs! ;o) The stamp is a Whipper Snapper, isn't he cute?! Im so addicted to Whipper Snappers. And I have a bunch of new ones on their way..... *shhhhh* Thanks for looking.
Stamps: Whipper Snapper, and SU (sentiment)
Papers: CTMH, all of them are, cardstock too.
Medium: Copics
OK, so do you ever get so caught up in doing challenges that you forget to just do something for you? For fun? I do. SO! After getting frustrated trying to come up with the PERFECT idea for a Design Team call, I decided to take a break and do something just for me! And viola, here it is. This was so much fun for me. I LOVE coffee...and therefore buy any and every stamp I can find with a coffee theme to it....unfortunatly some of them have been waiting for their turn on the ink pad. SO! I think I used them ALL here!! LOL So fun!
Then AFTER I made it, I thought hey this is kinda funny and will fit into the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!! LMAO SO!! Entering it I am! I noticed you cant really read the text on here so,the top line of text says: "I Dont have a problem with Caffeine, I have a problem without caffeine." And the bottom one, below the bella says "I dont do morning's untill I've had my coffee."
First I painted the canvas with MM Red Wagon paint and distressed it with some chocolate ink to tone down the red abit. Then for stamps.... I used, Grumpabella, Fluffles, All My Favorite Things, CTMH and my newest favorite coffee stamp set, TPC Studio's CoffeeCafe. I've coloured all th images with Copics and the coffee cups at the top (from TPC set) have "Foam" aka liquid applique and crushed instant coffee. The larger mug at the bottom (from CTMH) has brown embossing for the coffee. Im so happy with this whole thing. I hope you all enjoy it too. THanks for looking.
This is my lovely neice. She makes me smile just thinking about her. I dont get to see them enough and well, I'm so glad I have pictures of them, cause it helps me miss them less and well, then I get to use my girlie stuff on a scrapbook page! Scrapbooking truly is my first love, and well, I think Im better at it than at the cards thing. This LO came together pretty easily for me. The papers were all bits from my scrapbin. The Letters were cut out on the Cricut (Opposites Attract Cart)and the Butterfly stamps are a set from CTMH.
This was the fathers day card I made for my husband. Sorry for the bad picture, I thought I'd give the old scanner a shot but key word is "old" and crappy aparantly. Have I mentioned before how badly I need a new computer....and apparantly a new scanner! LOL Anyhow, almost everything on this card is CTMH. The papers, the stamps.... I coloured it with Copics and the charm is from Karen Foster, the bling from BG. I thought it turned out pretty good.
So I'm making an accordian album for my dad for fathers day (he'll never see this! LOL). It's a 9x9 accordian from CTMH. Im not really loving this so far, I like the pages Ive done but the book itself is not really stable, I think in the future I'll stick to my chipboard or acrylic books, but oh well. It just falls down really easy and the edges I'm sure will get wrecked easily, specially on inside pages as the inside is just cardstock, not board. Anyhow. This is the front cover of Bradley's side. Dampa (the name my son gave Grandpa when he was small)'s Boy. the PP is from.... crap....it's right there on the tip of my tongue, About A Boy is the name of this line... but by who? crap crap crap... I will check when I get home. The letters are from my Cricut and from CTMH die cut sheets.
The second page of Bradley's side is this one. The Turkey Buzzard is what my dad has called Bradley since he was born (I dont know why, it's just the first thing that popped into his head at the hospital when he held him for the first time and well.... not it's kind of endearing, really!! LOL) OMG I cried looking at all these pictures when I was picking them for his page. Hadnt looked at them in a long time and well... I miss my little turkey buzzard. ALOT more than I thought. OK so Im an emotional freak anyhow, but.... moving on. The star paper is actually from Bo Bunny, it's been in my stock pile for awhile (Shelley stop laughing! I dont have THAT much paper!!! LOL REALLY!) the Cardstock is from CTMH and well... I think that is it. I found the poem on a scrapbook page I found in a mag but it was for a little girl so I just altered a few words.
This is the cover of the other side. The Girlies side! Love my girls... miss my girls. (my brother's girls for those who dont know me) The papers are all CTMH (I must be on some kind of kick lately, using them ALOT!) and the clear buttons!! Dont you LOVE THEM!! new fav thing!! from CTMH as well.... I must buy more so I never run out!!! LOL
Anyhow... that's it so far. I have the inside of the girls page almost complete now and then I just have to do Bradley's older pics on the last page and it'll be done so I can send it off. I also have a few birthday cards to make..... I'm hoping for rain this weekend so I can lock myself in the pink room! (shhhh! I may get shot for that comment!) ;o)
Im in love with this card. Ive made it for myself, it sits on my desk and makes me smile. The front stamp is from Inkadinkado, the kids sayings stamps and reads, "You know it's been a good day if you didn't hit or bite anyone." Then the dog on the front and then the full stamp image on the inside is from Whipper Snapper (my favs) I hand wrote, "Better Luck Tommorrow" on the inside cause I dont have a computer at home that lets me do anything quickly and sometimes not at all... and well it adds to my allready high stress level of the moment. SO! Hand writing it is for now. Must get new competer soon. ANyhow, back to my card. The papers are all from CTMH, the Sarsaparilla pack. sorry the pics are kinda out of order, I need to spend some time figgering out how to do all this blog stuff properly... but once again.... read above on computer issues..... LOL Thanks for looking.
OH and on the chipboard stars and circles (also from CTMH I used liguid glass as well as on the dogs nose and on the inside on the lady bug and bone I liguid glassed them... it's a neat little touch that only fellow scrapbookers seem to catch!! LMAO
This is the canvas i made for my mom for mother's day, this is their old dog that passed away last month and they miss so much. I know she'll love it but it will for sure make her cry.
All the paper is CTMH. The stamps used are from Cloud 9. this was fairly simple to put togther. I love making canvases.
This is one of the first cards I made awhile ago. The stamp is from CTMH, called Beary Much (one of my FAVS! ok so they're all my favs, but this one REALLY!) The striped paper is from SEI, I loved it so much I went back and bought I think 6 sheets of it, so I never run out!! The pink cardstock is from CTMH and so is the twill ribbon. The Brown paper is actually a velvet paper, not sure who the manufacturer is. But it's FAB!!! I coloured with Copics (of course!) One of my fav cards that will prolly NEVER be given away!! :o) Yes I have a problem....
OK So I can't figure out how to turn the one photo the right way... but want you to see the inside...So will leave it this way till I figure it out.
