Stamptacular Sunday & Just Buggin Challenges

OK! First of all let me just say that I poured more thought and love into this card than I do most. (poured!! LOL Almost a pun! ;o) ) Anyhow, I made it for my dear BF Shelley. It HAD to be my best card! And well, while I could have worked on it more....it was her birthday and as it was I had to mail it express just to make sure it MADE IT IN TIME!! A major feat for me! LOL Whew! I may need to lay down.  First of all I'll explain the challenges.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge The challenge here is for a POP UP! And as you'll see below the inside has Coffee mugs that pop out. I've done this with acetate strips attached to a folded peice of cardstock. Neat huh?

And over at

Just Buggin (A site where they challenge you to use your Cricut, like I need incentive?!?! LOL Love that thing) The challenge is All About Food. And well since I think coffee has it's own food group! We qualify. My coffee and I! LOL I've cut the Coffee pot out from the From My Kitchen Cartridge, which Totally rocks!

Ok, for the details of this work of art of mine. hehe. On the cover we have, a large coffee mug by Hero arts, which I have coloured with copics and for the pretend coffee I've used a double layer of brown embossing powder. For that FABULOUS coffee pot, I cut it out with the Cricut twice out of silver shimmer paper from SU. Then I cut the centre out of one and glued on some acetate instead, and the black handle. Then on the inside peice I stamped the saying from a Craft Secrets stamps set (where the vintage ladies came from as well) I've made it into a shaker filled with ACTUAL coffee grounds... uh huh! I love her THAT much to share! It's even authentic STarbucks I might add!! LOL It's attached to the card with some eyelets and a brad so that you can tip the pot up like it's pouring into the cup!!! who hoo! Trust me my brain HURT after thinking that all up! The background embossed cardstock is sprayed with Glimmer Mist, cause my Shelley LOVES glitter (can ya blame her?) Ok, so that is the out side... now for the inner....

I totally forgot to say what the inside says since it's hard to read in the pictures. On the front of course it reads "GOT POT?" Inside above the Bellas it reads, "We're Gonna Need It" then on the nestie the Stamp had read "With Enough Caffeine I could Rule the World" But I've crossed off I and wrote WE. hehehe

Isn't that cool?!? LOL I was happy with it. I've used some coffee mugs from a TPC STudio set that I love! And then of course the Bellas. Here's a close up of the coffee pot for you.

OK! I really have to get to bed!!! I have not been in bed before midnight in DAYS....and I hate myself in the mornings because of it. Hense my love affair with coffee. ;o) Nite all.
