Birthday Card and Challenge

So they have a great sketch over at Papertake Weekly Challenge (and it must be great cause I just saw a coupla buddies also post a card from it!!! LOL) and since I needed a quick card for my neices 7th birthday I thought it would be PURRR-Fect to whip one up with it. Im away from home at the moment, visiting my parents, and while that's GREAT and Im enjoying my time here....I NEED my stuff!! LOL This card, while Im happy with it was hard....cause it doesnt matter WHAT you bring you always need whatever you didnt. Oi!

Anyhow, this is my card. I've used this adorable image from Mo Manning and everything else is from my uh....shopping sprees of the week! LOL Some gorgeous shimmery paper from TPC Studios, Ribbon from a GREAT deal at Michaels...and well my Copics (which I NEVER leave home without!!) Anyhow, Hope ya like!!!
Oh I cant wait to get back to my pink room!!!!

Stamptacular Sunday DT ~ BFF

Hallo everyone! Guess what I have for you today?!? Yup yup, a Stamptacular card....but not only is it another Stamptacular card, it is not, I repeat NOT a halloween card! LOL Now dont get me wrong, Im loving the Fall coloured, jac o Lantern glowing, Witch Haunting cards more than most....but I had fun veering off for abit to create this week's Challenge card. Our Challenge this week is B (Buttons) F(Flowers) F(Friends). YAY! And our fabulous sponsor for the week is :

My Favorite Things

I have used the Baby It's Cold Outside image for my card and oh it was so fun!!!

I had alot of fun with this image, I've coloured her and the snowman with Copics (NOT that you can SEE the Copics under the glitter on my snowman here...apparantly I was just "practising" LOL) Anyhow, then I've glitter-ritz'd the snowman and ground and then cut them out. I stamped and embossed the snowflakes and then used my distress inks for the sky and popped the image up from the background. I thought it turned out fun! My papers are all by Harmonie and I've put some Twinklets on my flowers and button to make it look frosty. Now I'd show you the inside but Blogger seems to be giving me some greif this evening. So....the inside is much the same and says "But Real Friends Last Forever."

Stamptacular Sunday DT ~ Pretty In Pink

OK! So it's Sunday....and you all know what that means....and it's a special one cause....this weeks challenge IS.....Wait for it....

ALL ABOUT PINK!!!!!

So could that be any more up my alley?!?! I think not.... So without further delay, here is my PINK card

So the challenge is to use nothing BUT pinks, you can use white as your card base and black to stamp with but everything else is PINK! How fun! So my card here is PINK and sparkly! 2 of my favorite things. this sweet girl is from Lil Lolita and the sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado, I've made those flowers again with the same link as you'll find below at the Simply Betty Card. this time my fingers were only MILDLY dyed pink....Glimmer Mist is much more fogiving then Black Momento reinker! LOL anyhow, I sure hope you can join us over at Stamptacular this week. Here is a look at the inside:

Mojo Monday ~ Coffee Cream

Just a quick post today. I made this card up for a card swap with some of my Scraptacular Sunday sisters using the Mojo Monday sketch.

Friday Sketchers & Simply Betty Challenges DT Call

So I finnaly did a card for Friday Sketchers where the card still resembles the sketch enough to enter it! LOL AND there's a new challenge blog starting up over at Simply Betty Stamps and I thought heck! Im gonna throw my hat in the ring over there! :o) So here is my card...

Ive used some new papers I bought at Creative Accents last week, it's a newer paper company I hadnt seen before, but LOVE these halloween themed papers. And I made those flowers, ugh!!! I'm in love with the flowers, and so I feel I NEED to make them anytime I want to put a flower on a card as the other flat ones just dont seem to measure up...but DAMN! my hands are now BLACK!!! and they wont come clean! argh....I suppose there's a reason the lady in the video was wearing gloves! LOL thought she was just being a wuss..... ;o)
And the inside...not too exciting but still....

Over at Simply Betty Challenges she's just asked us to make an Emo card, which....to be honest, Im gonna age myself here....I have no idea what "Emo" is other than that's what they call these kids! LOL So, I hope this works. :o) I do love her stamps and have been wanting to use them more. So here goes.

A Little Dragon

OK, so I started making this card for Friday Sketchers....but I strayed so far from the sketch that I dont think I can even pretend.... LOL Anyhow, I fell in love with this little dragon from High Hopes Stamps and that awesome sentiment too, unfortunatly their not mine (WAH!!!) I stamped one off from a friend the other day and now Im kicking myself for only stamping the one image off....What was I thinking you ask?!?! I was thinking I have SO FRIGGIN MANY stamp offs allready I dont need more to get lost in the pile....but of course, because I was being frugal I regret it! So now I think I need to just buy this stamp myself! haha!! that'll teach me for being frugal! ;o)
Ok so my card... Im so happy with it, wish there was some challenge I could enter it in! LOL Oh well. I've used BoBunny papers (does it not seem like 9 out of 10 times that is what I use?!?! LOL) That sentiment and tag I had some fun with my distress inks and stressed it out! Also used one of my TH distressing stamps on it. Anyhow, I was really happy with how this card came out. Makes me want to go lock myself up down there and see what else I can do. :o)
And the inside is....

The card is for my father in law, who's birthday was last weekend (oops) and well, he has not been feeling great lately....and isnt' that one of the great things about making out own cards?? We can make them say whatever we want!!! (LOL ?Ya... THAT's why I do it. ;o) Has nothing do to do with the pretty supplies I collect....nothing at all)

Now I've also used the sketch from over at Friday Sketchers so Im gonna enter it over there as well. (I love their sketches!!) Have you guessed the movie yet??

How bout now?? LOL

It's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory of course. I just thought James here looked SO like Willy Wonka with his long purple coat.... now I got some what fancy with the digi and used both a full view and a close up so that it would fill up my nestie more. And I was inspired by this paper from Little Yellow bicycle that reminded me of a static TV screen. And remember the part where the boy goes INTO the TV screen.... well that's where the idea for the card came from.

 

Anyhow!!! Im long winded today! :o) I really hope you like my card.

I made this card for my son Bradley, he's been away at grandma's for awhile now and I sure miss him. So I sent him alittle care package that included this card. the image reminds me of our big Tonka and well....Bradley if he was still little like I'd like him to be. :o(

Anyhow, my papers are all from BG Max & Whiskars again (told you I loved them!!) I've coloured the image with Copics and viola! there you go..

Sketch Saturday ~ House Mouse Wedding Card

OMGoodness!!! Im actually posting a card! For a challenge....just because! Not DT work or anything, just a card I made for my brother in law and new wife. Ive shocked myself!! And.....miracles never cease today, I even LIKE the darn thing! LOL Ok....here it is. Using this week's sketch at Sketch Saturday (which should JUST go to show you how long this card took me this week since Im BAREL?Y squeezing it in under the wire here.....yikes). And using my NEW favorite House Mouse stamp (think I have a new addiction)

Ok....I just love this image. I love lilacs and the mice are so cute...and I even love the vase. As I said above I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and these papers are from BoBunny ~ Peacock Lane. I made those little flowers up top with my little flower punch and Glimmer mists. I didn't have a purple mist so I sprayed them with JAzz Blue and bubble Gum pink and while the colour is a little darker than I might have really liked, they still came out pretty good I think. My cute mice and flowers are all colored with Copics. The inside of the card is....

 And it's also an easle card!! I love these.

Now I've also used some glossy accents on the vase to make it look more like glass. I love that technique.

anyhow, that's my card for the day week!! good greif. I really did start working on it on the weekend last and well....have SLOWLY and painfully worked on it here and there this week.

Stamptacular Sunday DT ~ I Scream You Scream We all Scream for ICE CREAM!

Stamptacular Sunday DT ~ A Tribute To Fathers

My goodness, the weeks just fly by....it's Sunday again! Which means....Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!! and this week the challenge is A Tribute to Fathers. My card is for my own father. This image from My Favorite Things is just perfect for my dad as well.. he LIVES in his chair...watching his TV... it's just perfect. And OMG are these papers from Creative Imaginations not the BEST man paper?!?! LOVE IT!! I loved it so much I used one of the "logos" from the paper and put some crackle accents on it. Which in the photo doesn't show up so well as you cant see the logo below, but it looks pretty cool in RL. This is my first attempt at paper peicing, Im not totally sure how I feel about it yet...we'll see.

Upcoming Class at Creative Accents ~ DP2 Challenge

This is a card Ive put together for an upcoming class at our favorite LSS Creative Accents. We're using one of the new Mo Manning images from Stamping Bella (you'll get to keep your stamp!!). I have cheated alittle and got the digi image so that I could create the card ahead of time. We'll colour her up with Copics (and I'll help you with that all the way thru! ;o) ) Use this beautiful paper from American Crafts, Letterpress collection. And this PERFECT die from QK. It's a perfect card for our GF's batting that old nemesis....numbers on the scale, or well for ourselves as it's not just a card...it's an easle card/post it note holder!!

I saw this somewhere...online or in a dream...Im not sure which anymore, it all blurs together... LOL But I thought it was a nice idea. We make all these cards and HOPE (no pun intended) that the recipient cherishs them, but if they're maybe alittle "usefull" they're more likely to stick around?? hense my post it note idea. how nice would this be on your friends desk? So, the date for this class is Saturday, July 26th, I really hope you can come out for it! would love to have you. Sign up at Creative Accents please!!

And then! Lo and Behold....Im looking about this morning and DP2 Challenge this week is an EASLE CARD!! yikes! Could that BE any more perfect??! So, we're gonna enter that for sure!

Birthdays are Like Donuts ~ Skipping Stones Sketch Challenge

So every Tuesday over at Skipping Stones Designs they have a sketch challenge. I always check it out but dont often get to join in... but this week! Im making the time! Plus I REALLY wanted to use this Donut set of theirs for a special birthday girl! ;o) LOL  So...why not enter it in a challenge at the same time right?! I was alittle stumped at first when I saw the card...but as usual their DT cards ROCK! And well, I somewhat CASED Amanda's card (thanks for the inspiration girl!) I just LOVE all the sayings on this stamp set, they make me giggle. And while hanging with some girls this weekend at my LSS we got into a box of Krispy Kremes (A very rare treat for us as their aint no such thing here in the little hick town of Williams Lake... LOL) and well, I remembered this stamp set and thought I must make "her" this card (Im trying to be alittle stealthy and not actually say who it's for in case she's looking....ok I know I could WAIT to post it till after she's seen it but... well... NO! LOL)  OK, so I'll show you the inside and then give a few details below!

Stamptacular Sunday DT ~ I Do I Do I Do

YUP! It's that time of week AGAIN! It snuck up on me this week... woke up this morning and thought... What day is it? Sunday? ..... CRAP! I dont think I've posted my Stamptacular Card!! Ok...so in my defence, this has been... well... a VERY tough week for me. Without getting into details... lets just say it was rough. So... I'm gonna do this post up fast cause it's a few hours late... I apologize to anyone who visited here this morning looking for the details for this card.

Stamptacular Sunday DT ~ Life's Beach

For this week's challenge over at Stamptacular you MUST create a card or project that has a beach theme, something that you'd see at the beach or just uses colors you relate to being at the beach. And our Sponsor for this weeks challenge is Shirley's 2 Girls Shirley has given each of us on the design team an image to work with this week... and as SOON as I saw this gorgeous girl an idea popped into my head and well... LOL I ran with it.

Now, it's not your traditional "Beach" themed card.... I tried to use some bright Summery type colours... but the beach theme really becomes apparant when you see the inside of the card....

LOL!! OK! So I've been alittle cheeky here. But that is exactly what I thought of when I saw this wonderful girl sitting in her chair... was OMG! It's bikini season!! Which would really be MY reaction to seeing the hot sun come out and someone asks me to go to the beach! hehehe. So, obviously that amazing image is from Shirley's 2 Girls. The sentiment on the front above her is from the Tongue in cheek colection from My Favorite Things. Mojo Monday ~ I Love My Computer

OMG! Here it is... my entry for Mojo Monday and it's still MONDAY!!! Holy crap!! I think this is a first for me! LOL Man I love long weekends! Now....if only I'd accomplished more than this.... (ok, to be honest, I made a scrapbook layout this morning...but it didn't make the cut... I was up at 5am...and ya... my ideas at that hour are NOT as good as they seem then! LOL) Anyhow...moving on! I did also get alot of laundry and running around AND another brutal boot camp class accomplished... so it's not like this is IT! LOL

OK...so about my card! This is Facebook Fanny..or at least that's what I'm calling her! LOL I got her from Mo Manning, when she was BRIEFLY offered as a freebie (lucky me!!) She is now available for sale at Mo's store...a place I frequent anyhow! :o) And she went FABULOUSLY with this sentiment I have from There She Goes stamps! PERFECT! LOL So... my papers are all from BoBunny and that's that.... oh and I'll show you the inside.. not that there's anything in there... but I know some of you like to see. ;o)
