Mojo Monday ~ Sad Card

So I had some bad news this morning, I found out that a family member's beloved dog passed away. Made me so heart sick as I nurse my own sweet dog back from his surgery that I just HAD to make them a card....so I turned to the best sketches over at Mojo Monday and made up this card.
It's strange for me not to use an image on a card....and I actually really looked for one to use, and I do have alot of dog images, but none that fit the sad occasion....and I do have these wonderful dog sayings from Cloud 9 that I thought would work perfectly. I've used the papers from the BG Max and Whiskars line (Im gonna miss those when Im thru that stack! which Im burning thru fast!) I hope you like my version of the sketch.

My own big baby is coming along. He puts more and more weight on his leg as they tell me he should be, but as he feels better and better he thinks he can do more and more....so I have to watch him closely. Here he is laying on our deck, he LOVES to lay in the sunshine, guess he needs some Vitamin D or something. He's shy of his shaved leg still and he's trying to cover it from my camera...LOL...but the swelling and bruising is gone, and his incision looks marvelous! So, we're coming along. :o)

cheers
Cheri

Hello Cheri, I was touched by your story... I have a small yorkie of 10 years, and I am helplessly devoted to him. He is my fist dog ever, and I never thought I would love a dog so much. I was a cat lover. Your card is so very lovely. I love the little punched paws at the bottom, such a cute detail. Everything else is pefectly nice. Love it.
Hugs.
Danielle.

What a great card. Love the saying and great to see how Tonka is doing. I to have an older dog who is on heavy meds. That is going to be one black day when her time comes. We all try and give the best we can and they in return give us all their love and support. Take Care

This is very thoughtful of you and the card is lovely. This card is perfect for such a heart-breaking loss. I actually have tears... i lost my sweet dog to cancer a few weeks ago.

Dogs are the best and they grab hold of our hearts and play fetch with them like a tennis ball.

My heart-felt sympathy to your family members and my love to your doggy too...
