Simply Betty EMO Previews ~ Valentine Disclaimer

Woot Woot! WE're startin to show you the Emo Babes we have coming out on the 7th! YAY! The Emo's are my favorite Betty line so Im always excited when new ones are being released....LOL...now that being said, here's my Valentine disclaimer....

After years of being single on Valentines Day, crying into my leftover Christmas chocolates and whinning to my other like minded bitter girlfriends, I grew a hatred for this retail driven holiday. That, while I appreciate the thought of celebrating a loved one, I dislike the expected showing of affection. I am much happier when my SWEET husband (who spoils me rotten year round) surprises me with something special on AN ORDINARY DAY not when he's told he has to! So! That being said, I now do not celebrate Valentines Day and the cards you see over the next few days will be ANTI Valentine's day cards! LOL I will not apologize for that, I just hope you can get a chuckle from them, and well. If you are easily offended....you might not want to keep looking.....this one's not bad but the following cards....I only mean to make you smile. :o)

OK, here we go, here is my version of {Anti} Valentine Betty:
Hehe.... OK, so I've done alittle altering to my Betty, in her original format she's winking, but I didn't think my Betty would want to take her eyes off my Skipping Stones frog here long enough to MISS Prince Charming.... hehe. The sentiment is one I've made up myself and will hopefully have in my Digi shop when I get'er going. The papers are all from BoBunny.

I cant wait to show you the rest of the crew and my uh.....other Anti Valentine creations.... hehe.
Like I said, hopefully you have a good sence of HAHA. :o)
Cheers and Happy New Year all!!

Stamptacular Sunday DT ~ Stars and Stripes

That's right my bloggy friends, it's SUNDAY again! And that means another challenge over at my fav challenge blog!! Stamptacular Sunday!!! This week the challenge is to celebrate our neighbors in the US's Independance Day and use Stars and Stripes on our cards. Now, you all know I love ya...but.... Im Canadian and just can't do the big red white and blue thang! So... The rules for this challenge are to just use stars and stripes...no matter the colour! (and of course... you must STAMP on your project!) Allrighty then... onto my card.

My card front...it actually turned out allright... I stressed about this one! but then...Im sure you hear that from me alot! LOL But really...somedays it really is like giving birth! Especially when Im making the card for someone special. And this one was for a special friend undergoing a big surgery. I wanted to make her something to try to cheer her up and help her feel abit better. And well, what better way then with pink and pretty bras! LOL These stamps are from my fav Skipping Stones Design The stamps are always so perfect as they almost always match my smart ass sence of humour. :o) it's hard to see how sparkly that bra is. But I stamped it in bright pink, then coloured in the lines with my Spica pen, and then bling'd er up with some glossy accents! She sparkles man! And Im not sure if you can tell but in the paper behind the image I actually embossed with my CB folder some stars... but hard to see unless you look for them. OK...Im rambling... the inside:

Viola, there she is. Im actually pretty happy with how it turned out. The papers I've used are from My Minds Eye (stripes) and Basic Grey. I hope you like and that you all can join us over at STamptacular this week!!
Cheers!

Birthdays are Like Donuts ~ Skipping Stones Sketch Challenge

So every Tuesday over at Skipping Stones Designs they have a sketch challenge. I always check it out but dont often get to join in... but this week! Im making the time! Plus I REALLY wanted to use this Donut set of theirs for a special birthday girl! ;o) LOL  So...why not enter it in a challenge at the same time right?! I was alittle stumped at first when I saw the card...but as usual their DT cards ROCK! And well, I somewhat CASED Amanda's card (thanks for the inspiration girl!) I just LOVE all the sayings on this stamp set, they make me giggle. And while hanging with some girls this weekend at my LSS we got into a box of Krispy Kremes (A very rare treat for us as their aint no such thing here in the little hick town of Williams Lake... LOL) and well, I remembered this stamp set and thought I must make "her" this card (Im trying to be alittle stealthy and not actually say who it's for in case she's looking....ok I know I could WAIT to post it till after she's seen it but... well... NO! LOL)  OK, so I'll show you the inside and then give a few details below!

HEHEHEHEEEEEEEEEEE! Ok, see why it makes me laugh?!?! LOL
Ok so...the deets are as follows:
STAMPS: All are Skipping Stones
PAPER: All BoBunny, Delilah
OTHER STUFF: Kaisercraft Bling, Stampin Bella Baubles, Various ribbon,
Oh and image is coloured with alittle Copics and then embossing powder to make the glaze all shiny.

OK!! I sure hope you like, laughed alittle and well... didn't go buy a box of donuts... or well...maybe you did. and well, Good for you! ;o)

Mojo Monday ~ Margaritas! MMMmMmmmmmm

So! This is my take on the sketch over at Mojo Monday. It seems like it's been forever since I've had time or the "mojo" to enter a challenge!! geesh! Burning too many candles at both ends these days it seems. And well, time constraints are one thing...but the mojo.... HOly! That's hard to take, the desire to make something is there...but I just sit here at stare at stamps till my eyes swim but no brilliant ideas come to life! and when they do... they're just ideas that dont seem to translate into anything on paper. Anyhow... Im rambling.

THIS is my margarita card!! I got this stamp sometime ago... and after messing with the blender on my cricut cart, trying to do something with that... I gave up and went with this instead! The stamps are by Skipping Stone Designs LOVE THEM! It's hard to see on the pic, Im sorry bout that, shoulda taken a few more. But I've coloured all the images with copics then coated them with some Spica Glitter pens and Glossy Accents. Around the rim of the margarita glass is some Stickles Rock Candy witch is PERFECT for the salted rim. the shot glass, lime and salt shaker have all been popped up...but you cant really see that. Anyhow... moving on!

thanks for looking!!! Ciao for now. :o)

I was struggling to decide what to do for my 1st week, but really what better way to introduce myself then with a coffee card?!?! Skipping Stones Challenge #17

Over at Skipping Stones Designs they have a weekly sketch challenge that I've been wanting to participate in since I got my FAB Skipping Stones STamps, and well, I've had them for awhile and used them a few times allready (I think Ive actually used EVERY stamp in this Coffee set allready!! LOL) I just haven't had time to do the actual challenge. But finnaly here we are! YAY! I love these stamps, they are so funny and a really nice quality clear stamp.

My card, it's fairly self explanatory I think. I've used no pattern paper on it at all, I stamped the background paper there on some lighter brown paper and distressed abit with some ink. The green paper I've run thru the CB with that awesome star embossing folder and then spritzed it good with some Suede Glimmer mist. The metal embellishment is from Stampin Up. I justLOVE this saying. It's my fav, sorry the pic doesnt show it great. It says "They Should Just Call It Crack" LOL and oh so very very true!!

Allright, that's my story for the day, now I must pack up my stuff and get ready. My BFF Shell is coming and we're spending the weekend at another all weekend crop!!! YAY ME!

Skipping Stones And a Missed Challenge

I made this card in plenty of time for the Mojo Monday challenge, the sketch was really different (or so I thought) this week and I really had fun making this card with it. BUT Then I got sick! ARGH! So I haven't done much of anything cept work and sleep the past week. So Im finnally just getting to loading it up here now. I was SO excited about these stamps. These are from Skipping Stones Designs If you haven't seen these yet you must go check them out! They are GREAT! so funny, and I'm really happy with the quality of them. They stamp so nice! Anyhow. I couldn't wait to use this set, so it was the first one to the ink pad. The papers are by SEI. My photo isn't the greatest but I've just coloured the bra with my Spica pen and then liquid glue overtop. This was one of those "quick" cards for me.... LOL or it least it caused me no stress anyhow!! LOL Thanks for looking!!!
